Turkey launches airstrike in N. Iraq, neutralize 8 PKK terrorists


(MENAFN) On Monday, Turkish National Defense Ministry proclaimed that Turkish warplanes hit eight PKK terrorists when they were planning to attack military bases, in northern Iraq.

The terrorists were plotting to hit military bases before Turkish fighter jet intercepted and "neutralized' them in Avasin-Basyan region in northern Iraq.

The air raid also resulted in the complete damage of shelters and weapon storages used by the terrorists.

On July 13, Turkey conducted Operation Claw-2 as a follow-up on the successfully continuing Claw-1, which disclosed new information of terrorist activity, according to the ministry.
