Panama one of highest per capital income

(MENAFN) Panama was announced as among the highest countries when it comes to per capita income, along with Chile and Uruguay, as a result of economic dynamism.

An average annual growth of 7 percent was registered in Panama between 2004 and 2018 from 3.3 percent in Latin America.

Inequality in Panama is one of the highest ranks only behind Brazil and Honduras within Latin America, according to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

The report stressed that the high inequality and its persistence are closely related to the "strong territorial imbalances" that exist in Panama.
