S. Korea forecast for 13.6 percent exports drop

(MENAFN) South Korea is forecast for a 13.6 percent decline in its exports during the first twenty days of this year on annual basis, marking its eighth consecutive slump.

On Monday, the Korea Customs Service explained through data that this projected decrease is attributed to a drop in outbound shipments of semiconductors as well as petrochemical goods.

Exports of South Korea, data unveiled, are likely to stand at USD28.3 billion with average daily exports plunging by 16.2 percent to USD1.71 billion.

Last month, South Korean exports hit USD44.18 billion to register a 13.5 percent fall for the seventh month in a row.
