299 expatriate teachers lose jobs as part of Kuwaitization


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, July 21: As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Education to implement the replacement policy followed by the State and to terminate the services of expatriates in exchange for the appointment of citizens, an educational source said that a number of expatriate teachers whose services were terminated by the end of the last academic year (2019/2018) was 299, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The daily explained the teachers covered by the policy of replacement are in Islamic education, computer, social studies practical studies. The source pointed out that 275 Kuwaiti teachers have been appointed in place of the teachers whose services have been terminated in line with the replacement policy so far in addition to the Kuwaiti graduates from the colleges of education, who are appointed directly through the educational districts, are also included.
