(MENAFN) Several small businesses in Oman were revealed to have managed to find a fresh way to overcome economic challenges.
Those Omani-based small businesses decided to make their way to customers for transactions instead of waiting for customers.
"Economic downturn has hit many small businesses hard. Earlier, lack of customers forced me to close a men's salon. Now, I have closed the women's parlour too. The income from the women's parlour was barely enough to cover the costs. I had to send my employees back to cut costs," as commented Sunitha K, who used to run salons in Ruwi.
"Since my customer base was strong, I get calls for home service now. I am available on call. Customers know my work. I have reduced price for various services so customers are happy with that," Sunitha added.
