Egyptian economic growth accelerates


(MENAFN) Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli hailed the country's significant economic recovery amid reforms that the IMF supports.

During the fiscal year 2018-19, Egypt registered a 5.6 percent economic growth to reflect significant rebound.

Meanwhile, according to the prime minister, the budget deficit hit 8.2 percent of the GDP compared to estimates of 8.4 percent.

Madbouli stated: "at the same time, it induces us to complete the implementation of reforms and the efforts exerted to achieve the targets for the new fiscal year."
