(MENAFN) European Union (EU) statistic authority Eurostat revealed that Bulgaria has been ranked as the highest country when it comes to income inequality within the bloc.
In a statement, the statistic authority unveiled that Bulgaria was followed by Lithuania, Spain, Romania, Latvia and Greece in income inequality as of 2017.
Czech Republic and Slovenia, according to Eurostat, were shown as countries with the lowest income inequality in the EU.
Eurostat added: "one important measure of income distribution is the ratio of total income received by the 20% of the population with the highest income to that received by the 20% of the population with the lowest income, known as the income quintile share ratio."
