Japanese authorities and local media reported that a fire has started at an animation studio in the city of Kyoto, possibly by an arson attack; At least twelve people are feared dead. As been reported by news.com.au
A spokesman for the Kyoto City Fire Department said on Wednesday that more than 30 people were wounded in the fire, of whom 10 with serious wounds and 1 person dead.
The fire started on Thursday morning, in a three-storey building that belongs to Kyoto Animation by a man who sprayed an unidentified flammable liquid, as reported by the Kyoto cops.
Public broadcaster NHK citing police reported that several people were dead at the site. The police have also taken a man into custody who poured petrol around the studio.
