(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Representatives of Sri Lankan Tamils in India met BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan and other senior party leaders like Pon Radhakrishnan, L Ganeshan and Vanathi Srinivasan to discuss the prevailing situation in the island nation and the welfare and housing schemes implemented by the Narendra Modi government for the Lankan Tamils, the Times of India reported.
The meeting was held at the party state headquarters in Chennai.
Tamilisai told reporters that the party leaders had discussed various issues and programmes with the representatives of Sri Lankan Tamils.
'We will prepare a report and submit the same to the Centre,' she said. However, she refused to elaborate further.
Party sources said the Easter terror attack in island nation and involvement of Muslims in it was one of the topics they had discussed in detail.
