(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the strategy on promoting Ukrainian language until 2030.
The relevant report has been posted on the Government portal.
"To ensure the unity of Ukrainian society and strengthen its Ukrainian identity, to strengthen the Ukrainian language throughout the entire territory of Ukraine, the government approved the strategy to promote the Ukrainian language until 2030 'Strong language is a successful state'. The decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on July 17, reads the report.
In particular, the strategy envisages strategic goals and main tasks to implement the state language policy and covers almost all spheres of public life. As expected, the implementation of the strategy will enhance the prestige and authority of the state language, create a comfortable and functional Ukrainian-speaking environment throughout the country and for its entire population, as well as create conditions for meeting the language needs of Ukrainians living abroad.
The strategy was developed by the Culture Ministry of Ukraine.
