Qatar- Ooredoo signs MoU to partner with malomatia

Doha: Ooredoo, the region's leading enabler of digital business innovation, announced yesterday it has joined forces with malomatia, a leading national provider of IT services and solutions, to enable Qatar's Smart Cities growth. Both parties signed an MoU to create a comprehensive smart city offering tailored to the Qatari Market.

Thanks to Qatar National Vision 2030's goals of nationwide digital transformation and the strategies that were put in place to realise this vision, the country is ideally-positioned to become a regional and global Smart Cities leader.

Use cases include smart traffic and logistics solutions to reduce congestion and increase efficiency, an ecosystem of smart healthcare solutions to transform patient care, smart buildings and environmental services to enhance sustainability and reduce utilities usage.

Already, Ooredoo has pioneered Smart Cities in Qatar, such as collaborating on Lusail City and piloting the world's first 5G-enabled aerial taxi. In turn, malomatia will leverage its extensive expertise in delivering digital transformation programmes, national experience, and deep local knowledge of existing business needs.
