7 militants get killed in S. Afghanistan


(MENAFN) Provincial police chief Abdul Salam Afghan said on Thursday that, At least seven militants faithful to the Taliban group were died and eight others injured over a snare by security forces in the southern Helmand province on Wednesday.


The official said that, the security forces started the process late Wednesday, when a group of insurgents was heading to attack a security post in Pul-e-Seyah area of the province and killed seven fighters as well as their commander Mawlawi Shabir on the spot and wounded eight others.

The official also said that, no security personnel had been harmed during the attack.

Taliban militants fighting government forces in the area did not say anything about the report yet.
