Qatar- Postage stamp to document Police College's first batch


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) QNADoha: Police College, in cooperation with Qatar Post, has launched the first special postage stamp for the college to document the graduation of the first batch of students who were honoured earlier this year.

Last January, the Police College honoured its first batch of 108 police graduates from the State of Qatar, Kuwait, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Palestine and the Republic of Yemen.

Adviser to the Minister of Interior and Vice-President of the Supreme Council of the Police College, H E Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousuf Al Mal said they were keen to launch this stamp and activate it to achieve the vision of the Ministry of Interior and it will be used in correspondence issued by the State to all parts of the world to be a bridge to deepen the bonds of cooperation and effective participation with everyone.

Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Post Faleh Mohammed Al Nuaimi said the stamp commemorates the graduation of the first batch of graduates of the Police College through the launch of a special mail issue consisting of 10,000 postage stamps designed in offset printing lithographic with modern reality enhanced technology and dated July 10, 2019. 

This stamp comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Interior and its leading role in the preparation of police officers qualified scientifically, trained and capable of taking responsibility for the security and stability of the country.
