(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) held yesterday its ‘GECF Monthly Gas Lecture' at the Tornado Tower in West Bay. Delivering the lecture was Gazprom Export head of Contract Structuring and Pricing Directorate Dr Sergei Komlev, who delved on the topic ‘What makes pricing for natural gas different from other commodities and why it is important for the gas exporters?' The lecture focused on the hurdles that resulted from inadequate patterns of natural gas pricing, the need to expedite coal-to-gas and gas-to-oil switches, and the relationship between the natural gas industry and renewable forms of energy in the low carbon and carbon-free world, among other topics.
