Six men drown in Bangladeshi beach


(MENAFN) Bodies of six men were found on a Bay of Bengal beach in the countries southeastern Cox's Bazar district bordering Myanmar as Bangladesh's police said.


Md Khairuzzaman, a senior police official in Cox's Bazaar district said that they had recovered six bodies from Sughanda point of Cox's Bazar sea beach on Wednesday morning, some 292 km southeast of capital Dhaka.

The police official said that two more people were rescued in an unaware state and had been transferred to a hospital for treatment he also said that to find out the cause of death, autopsies would be performed, Identities of the bodies were not known straight away.

All the dead were fishermen and they drowned after their fishing boat encountered inclement weather in the Bay of Bengal, as Law enforcers believe.
