Egypt- Al-Sisi, Jordanian PM discuss boosting bilateral relations

(MENAFN - Daily News Egypt) Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with Jordan's Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Omar Al-Razzaz, in Cairo where they discussed strengthening bilateral relations.
Al-Sisi said that Egypt is looking forward to continue coordination with Jordan on different levels, in light of both countries' similar surrounding situations and the growing challenges in the region.
Al-Razzaz affirmed he was pleased to visit Cairo, underscoring his country's commitment to further enhance cooperation with Egypt.
Moreover, the Egyptian president commended the 28th session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Committee meetings held in Cairo on Thursday and were co-chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly from the Egyptian side, and Al-Razzaz from the Jordanian side.
Al-Sisi added this meeting demonstrates a mutual commitment and keenness of both nations on strengthening bilateral cooperation in all fields.
The two sides reiterated the importance of continuing efforts to foster closer economic relations and increase trade exchange to the level that match the strong political relations and historic bonds that the two countries share.
The talks also tackled the developments in the region, notably the Palestinian peace process.
Both sides confirmed the need to continue intensive efforts towards reaching the two-state solution. They also agreed on supporting efforts aimed at reviving the peace process and resuming negotiations on this basis.
