Jumeirah group wants Brazilians in Dubai's Top 15

São Paulo – The Jumeirahgroup , hotel chain based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, wants the number of Brazilian guests to increase from the 20th to the 15th position in the ranking of countries by theExpo 2020 , the world exhibition to run from October 2020 to April 2021 in the emirate.

The statement was made by the hotel chain's group sales director Vivian Trida during an event to advertise Dubai as an incentive groups, conferences and leisure destination. The encounter with tourism professionals occurred at the hotel Renaissance Hotel in São Paulo this Thursday (4).

Burj Al Arab, one of the world's most luxurious and expensive hotels – and a landmark of the emirate – belongs to the group Jumeirah, which focus on the luxury market, with 4-5-stars hotels. Other hotels of the chain in Dubai include Jumeirah Beach Hotel, a resort by the beach, and Jumeirah Emirates Towers, a business center.

Besides Trida, the event featured Jumeirah group sales manager Tatiana Issa,EmiratesAirline sales manager Karin Manheim Lima, and Dubai-based tourism agencyKnight Tourssales manager Claudia Leite.

'With the actions we are doing with Emirates and Knight Tours in Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, our goal is to put Brazil in the Top 15 of the Jumeirah's hotels by the Expo 2020. Now, we are at Top 20,' Trida told ANBA.

The five countries that send the most tourists to the Jumeirah's hotels in Dubai are China, India, United States, Germany, and UK. In the emirate of Dubai, Brazilians occupy the 25th position in number of tourists.

The Jumeirah group was founded around 20 years ago and now has 27 hotels in several countries, including seven in Dubai, four in Abu Dhabi, one in Bahrain, one in Kuwait, three in China, three in London, one in Frankfurt, and others, and has expanded mostly around Asia. The Dubai Holding conglomerate owns the Jumeirah group.

During her presentation, Leite gave options of tours for incentive group, corporative trips, families, tourist groups, and female-only groups, and showed that Dubai always has something new to offer, with attractions set to be ready for the Expo 2020, including Dubai Creek Tower, which will be the world's highest tower, with a height of 1 kilometer, surpassing Burj Khalifa; Ain Dubai (Dubai Eye), a huge Ferris Wheel with a height of 210 meters at the Bluewaters Island; and the Museum of the Future, at the emirate's business center. She stressed that Dubai has became a good tourist destination to take kids, with several attractions such as amusement parks and water parks.

Knight Tours is a middle-sized, locally owned tourism agency, which has operated for more than twenty years in the emirate. Claudia Leite is Brazilian and has lived in Dubai for 12 years.

It's estimated that 25 million people will visit the pavilions of Expo 2020. Brazil will have a pavilion, with a sensory experience in representation of the Amazon Forest. The Emirates offersdaily Dubai-bound flightsleaving São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
