(MENAFN - Global advertising ) The International Saudi artist Shalimar Sharbatly and Ambassador Dr. Hazem Ramadan, the Egyptian Consul General in Jeddah, opened the "Jeddah Bride of Art" exhibition on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019, at the Atelier Jeddah Fine Arts. The exhibition came as a part of Jeddah's summer events and will continue for a month. It had a large audience present and numerous elite Saudi artist such as Bakr Shaykhoun, Dr. Sami Al-Marzouqi, Abdullah Idriss, Dr. Fawaz Abounian, Abdul-Aziz Al-Najem, Mishaal Al-Omari, the fine artist Dr. Nevin Darwish and 100 participating Arab artists mostly from Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Artist Shalimar Sharbatly stated after the opening of the exhibition that it reflects the grand evolution in the fine arts movement in the Kingdom in the last few years, and added that the presence of this number of Saudi and Arab artists under one roof in the city of Jeddah represents an important addition to the city's history of achievements in Saudi art. She considered the exhibition, which she participated in by including some of her paintings, one of the important exhibitions that Jeddah has witnessed recently, as it includes a great number of fine artists at the level of stardom in the Arab world.
On his side, Egyptian Consul General in Jeddah Ambassador Dr. Hazem Ramadan praised the exhibition, which his wife the fine artist Dr. Nevin Darwish participated in with a number of her paintings, as well as the exceptional Egyptian role in it especially in sculpting.
Hisham Qandil, Director of Atelier Jeddah and the owner of the idea of the exhibition, expressed his appreciation to the participating artists and said that the exhibition will continue for a month and on its margins an open dialogue will be held with the participation of a group of artists and critics.
