Kuwait defeats Palestine in West Asia Volleyball Qualifiers


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, July 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait volleyball team defeated the Palestine 3-1 in the third round of the West Asian Volleyball Championship (under 23) qualifiers in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This is Kuwait's first win after losing to Bahrain and Iraq in the previous matches of the tournament. Kuwait has two games left against Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Wednesday and Thursday.
In today's competitions, Iraq defeated Qatar 3-0 and Saudi Arabia won against Bahrain 3-2.
Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Palestine and Iraq are competing to win the three top places who will qualify for the West Asia U-23 Championship in Myanmar. (end)
