Saudi HRH Crown Prince Visits Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Hiroshima, June 30, 2019, SPA -- His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visited here today Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.
HRH Crown Prince toured the museum where he viewed a video presentation of the city of Hiroshima before the atomic bombing, and its bombing in 1945 and the destruction caused by it.
HRH Crown Prince also viewed pictures showing the history of the city of Hiroshima in the past, during World War II, and the atomic bombing, as well as information about the atomic age, exerted efforts for international peace, examples showing damage inflicted on the city, and display of some physical evidence such as clothing, watches, and personal belongings worn by the victims of the bomb, in addition to life in the city after its development.
Then, HRH Crown Prince headed for the museum's salon where he met one of the survivors of the bombing, where she told stories witnessing before, during and after of the bombing. HRH Crown Prince also signed in the museum's guests book.
HRH Crown Prince was accompanied by Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense; Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture;and a number of Ministers.
