Turkish economic confidence index climbs 7.6 percent

(MENAFN) In June this year, the Turkish economic confidence index climbed by 7.6 percent on monthly basis to stand at 83.4.

On Thursday, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) confirmed that these figures indicate a significant progress compared to results witnessed in May 2019.

TurkStat attributed the boost to better performance in consumer, services, retail trade, construction, real sector and real sector manufacturing industry confidence indexes.

It added: "the economic confidence index is a composite index that encapsulates consumers' and producers' evaluations, expectations, and tendencies about the general economic situation."
