8 percent jump in S. Korean retail revenue

(MENAFN) South Korea, as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy revealed, registered an 8 percent boost in revenues of online and offline retailers during the fifth month of the year on annual basis.

Last month, sales of retail in South Korea flourished as a result of growing demand for seasonal electronic products, with air conditioners among them.

This jump, the ministry explained, is stimulated by strong demand for summer electronic goods as well as solid demand for gifts for Parents' Day and the Children's Day.

It further added that South Korea recorded an 18.1 percent surge in online sales and an increase by 1.9 percent in offline sales.
