Suspected IS member gets killed by Russian security forces


(MENAFN) Suspected member of the Islamic State (IS) group has been killed by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) on Wednesday the man was planning a terrorist attack in the city of Saratov in southwestern Russia.

An FSB statement said that the suspect had acquired components for manufacturing improvised explosive devices in a laboratory set up in a garage.


The suspect was resisting with arms during the detention and neutralized and no security officials or civilians were injured during the operation.


FSB officials discovered and expropriated firearms, ammo and an improvised explosive ready for use.
