After successfully developing the iconic landmark in Sur, the largest harbour painting in the world, Oman LNG has inked another agreement with Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MoAF) to fund the development of a walkway at the Sur Harbour.
'This project completes earlier efforts funded by Oman LNG for developing the Sur Harbour wall painting. The walkway encourages a healthy lifestyle while promoting tourism and touching lives,' stated the company.
The agreement was signed by H E Dr Saud al Habsi, Undersecretary for Fisheries, MoAF, and Khalid al Massan, CEO, Oman LNG Development Foundation on Monday. With the walkway, visitors will be able to not only get a chance to indulge in a healthy lifestyle, by jogging or walking along the pathway, they will also be treated to one of the largest outdoor paintings in the world.
The paintings made by around 50 artists hailing from different countries are spread over a wall in Sur harbour with an estimated area of 6,500sq m.
