Tianjin police catches drug crime suspects


(MENAFN) 4,087 suspects of drug crime since June of last year are now in jail as announced at a press conference Tuesday by the municipal public security bureau.

Drug treatment work stations based in residential communities have been built in Tianjin since 2018. So far, 220 such work places with 718 expert workers have been established to help recover drug addicts.

In June 2018 Tianjin started a series of movements to stop drug crimes. They seized 35 tons of chemicals which can be used for making drugs, said Zhao Shaozhong, director of the anti-drug team of the bureau.

And to encourage the public to play a part in the anti-drug campaign, the municipality has promised to give prize up to 300,000 Yuan (about USD 43,600) to people who report drug crimes to the police.
