(MENAFN) Hanfu the traditional clothing of Han ethnic group is getting more modern and it's becoming an ordinary thing that people are wearing it on the street everyday according to China Daily; universities are also appreciating this traditional outfit by dedicating clubs to it as the paper said on Monday.
It's believed that the commonness of hanfu in China is because of the hanfu movement that started about 16 years ago, young Chinese chose hanfu to be their everyday outfit to show admiration and acceptance for their tradition and feel connected to their roots.
After hanfu was gone for about 400 years critics about the modern version of the ancient clothing have raised some even link the fashion movement to nationalist movements.
Instead of having any political inspiration, many young people in China even want to encourage the acceptance of hanfu as ordinary fashion.
