Egyptian Awqaf Minister commends warm ties with Kuwait


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, June 20 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Minister of Awqaf Dr. Mohammed Gomaa on Thursday said the deep-rooted Egyptian-Kuwaiti relationship is an example for cooperation and brotherhood at various level.
The minister made the assertion during a ceremony, honoring the departing Director of the Kuwaiti Office for Charitable Projects in Cairo, Ismail Al-Kanderi, whom he praised for cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf.
He also lauded the office humanitarian and philanthropic activities, namely charitable and development ventures, executed in a number of provinces.
Identical praise was heaped upon Al-Kanderi when he was hosted by Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayib, Al-Azhar's Grand Imam.
Egypt and Kuwait have been bonded with close ties since many years ago. Kuwait has contributed to many charitable projects in Egypt and elsewhere across the world. (end) rg.rk
