Key rate of Moroccan central bank stands at 2.25 percent

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, the Moroccan central bank agreed to keep the key rate the same at 2.25 percent.

They made the decision after holding the second meeting of 2019 in Rabat.

Based on the medium-term predictions of inflation, development, outside accounts, monetary conditions and public finance, the board considered that the recent level of the key rate at 2.25 percent remains appropriate, the bank emphasized in a statement.

It added that temporary data from the yearly countrywide accounts show that growth slowed down to 3 percent in 2018 from 4.2 percent a year earlier.
