Chinese company, Omani petroleum firm cooperate to launch 1st polymer factory in Salalah


(MENAFN) On Monday, a Chinese company launched the first polymer production factory in Oman in corporation with an Omani petroleum company.

The factory covers an area of 33,000 square meters in Raysut industrial area in Salalah Province, nearly 1,000 km south of the capital Muscat, built by Chinese company ZL EOR Chemicals and Oman Development petroleum firm.

The factory needed USD20 million to be built and ready.

According to a press release, the output capacity of the plant during the first phase will be around 15,000 tons yearly, and will increasingly rise to 70,000 tons per year at later phases.
