Doha: The Ministry of the Interior (MoI) opened yesterday a Visitors Office at the Verdict Execution Department in the presence of Director General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, and a number of department directors.
The office provides information on the court judgments issued, follow-up procedures in various court cases, as well as obtaining certificates and payment of penalties given by court orders. It is part of the modernisation strategy of the ministry of interior.
Following the opening of the office, Director General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi said that the office is part of the ministry of interior's efforts to provide services to the public of citizens and residents in easy and fast ways to save time and effort.
Al Khulaifi pointed out that the Execution Department contributes to the achievement of justice within the framework of the competences of the Ministry of Interior and has fruitful and constructive cooperation with the judicial authorities in the country, therefore the development of its work was necessary and has a positive effect on the process of procedures and the implementation of judicial rules.
Director of Verdict Execution Department at the Ministry of Interior Colonel Saif Al Khayarin said that the new office operates around the clock, and represents a qualitative leap, as it shortens a lot of procedures that required to visit a number of the relevant offices within the department.
Al Khayarin explained that the office allows the visitors to complete all the procedures and transactions that required a lot of time and effort in the past. He added that the office also allows the visitors to make sure that there are any other communications on the person or not, and to pay the required penalties through the automated payment system, which was provided in coordination with the Public Prosecution.
He added that the office is equipped with the latest equipment and requirements to ensure that transactions are completed for all the visitors easily while special services are provided for the elderly and people with special needs to enable them to complete the procedures comfortably.
