São Paulo – UAE satellite-based internet provider Yahsat said it has coverage available in 16 cities in the state of Rio de Janeiro.The provider is now available in 19 Brazilian states .
Yahsat also said new subscribers will get one month free of charge. The promotion is available through June 30. Besides Rio, it also includes the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Mato Grosso, Piauí, Amazonas, Pará, Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul.
Broadband plans range from 6 MG to 24 MB, with 20 GB to 40 GB packages available. Prices range from BRL 119.90 to BRL 269.90 a month for the first six months, and BRL 179.90 to BRL 329.90 afterwards. The target demographic is corporate clients and people in rural areas.
