Arab Parl urges Arab project against security threats


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, June 17 (KUNA) -- Arab Parliament President Meshal Al-Salmi underlined the need for an Arab project to protect the sovereignty and security of the Arab World.
The remarks were made during a seminar organized by the parliament AT he Arab League's headquarters on Monday.
He stressed the need of such a unified Arab stance in the light of the growing hostilities of regional and foreign countries against the Arab World.
Al-Salmi, meanwhile, spoke of the growing "terrorist" attacks on ships and vital economic facilities in Arab countries and recent attacks on commercial ships and oil refineries in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the Gulf of Oman.
All these incidents require Arab states to unify their stance to protect their peace and stability and bring those responsible to justice.
The seminar is attended by senior Arab officials including ministers, MPs, politicians and many others. (end)
