UAE eyes deeper energy ties with Australia

(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi is looking to strengthen its cooperation with Australia when it comes to the energy sector, with the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy planning to send a delegation to Victoria soon.

During the anticipated trip, the Emirati delegation is set for talks with Victoria state government figures as well as top executives from the Victoria energy regulatory institutions.

This comes as both the UAE and Australia have been enjoying solid bilateral relations as their cooperation has been increasing in a tough pace within various areas.

In 2017, a 16 percent surge was recorded in non-oil trade volume between the two countries, standing at USD3.3 billion compared to a year earlier.
