Jordan- Interior Minister, German envoy discuss ties

Amman, June 12 (Petra) -- Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Wednesday met with German Ambassador Birgitta Siefker-Eberle to discuss bilateral cooperation especially in the security field.
The meeting tackled arrangements and topics Hammad will discuss with his Bavarian counterpart who is scheduled to visit the Kingdom next week.
Hammad underlined the "deep-rooted" and "robust" ties between Jordan and Germany, and the need to enhance them in a way that serves issues of common interest.
He pointed out the importance of exchanging security expertise, training programs, and organizing visits that would boost cooperation and coordination to fight crime.
The German envoy lauded Jordan's role in addressing several regional issues and challenges mainly in the field of combating terrorism and crime.
She also pointed to the Kingdom's relentless efforts to achieve international and regional security and stability.
