Egyptian brands are at Fispal targeting Brazil

São Paulo – The Egyptian Commercial Office in São Paulo brought 21 brands to exhibit at theFispalFood Service trade show. 'Ninety percent of them are not operating in Brazil. So, we brought their products to understand the market and see if there is demand,' consul and Office head Mohamed Elkhatib told ANBA this Tuesday (11). The Egyptian stand is supported by theArab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce . The show runs until next Friday (14).

Most of the products are foodstuffs. They include olives, dried tomatoes, herbs, spices and artichokes by the companies Wadi El Nil, El Badr, and Green Valley. Arab items such as tahini (sesame condiment) and halva (sesame-based sweet confection) by Alzahraa and Alfares are also exhibited. There are also dates by Egyptian Export Center and Linah farms, as well as herbs and spices by Egy Group, Retaj, and Herbs Egypt.

Other brands at the stand are Elbaraka, with hibiscus; SFII, with olives and dried tomatoes; Mom's food, with products such as hummus (chickpea paste); Blendy, with juices; Wadi Food, with olives; Inagro Tiba, with herbs and spices; EG Gate, with herbal foods; Amman foods, with the Egyptian drink 'sobia;' and Elkomy, with tamarind.

Besides foodstuffs, there are Eastern Company, which deals with tobacco and cigarettes, and narguile essences by Elnakhla and Taj.
