TheAmazighe,who live in themountainoussouth of the country,have traditionally been ableto conserve the unique biodiversity of the regionand preserve their cultural heritage. However,climate change aswell as the over-exploitation of medicinal plants– plus anexodus of young people-means theirsymbiotic relationship with the land may no longer be sustainable.
