Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) organised a training workshop on cultural diversity in health care, as part of a series of workshops on the health care programme to be held by the Department of Health Practitioners on a regular basis for all health practitioners.

The workshop, which was attended by about 140 health practitioners, aimed to give them the opportunity, especially private sector employees, to attend medical education and professional development activities at a high quality level, which will in turn reflect positively on their level of competence and contribute to the dissemination of a health care culture, based on best known practices and scientific evidence.

These workshops will also help meet the professional development requirements required of health practitioners to renew their licenses to practice medical professions.

The Department of Health Practitioners in the Ministry of Public Health works to hold subsequent sessions of the health care program periodically, once a month.
