Doha: Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRSN) has distributed a number of medical, and assistive devices to its affiliates in collaboration with 'Social and Sports Activities Support Fund (Daam). The event was held under the patronage of Chairman of the Board of Directors of QSRSN Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani (pictured).
The equipment provided included a range of medical mobility chairs, electric chairs, bathroom chairs, chairs for children with severe disabilities, medical beds, cranes for disabled people, computers for people with visual disabilities, glasses, and respirators, hearing aid devices, and a range of prostheses.
Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani praised the efforts of the ‘support' fund and its outstanding support for QSRSN and its members of persons with disabilities. He expressed happiness in the fruitful cooperation between the fund and QSRSN, stressing that this cooperation is in the interest of persons with disabilities and contributes significantly to achieving the objectives of QSRSN to rehabilitate persons with disabilities and integrate them into society and achieve a safe and dignified life for them.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRSN) explained that the provision of a ‘support' fund for medical and assistive devices for persons with disabilities has a great effect inhelping them in movement and integration into society according to the type of disability and its requirements, which are determined through QSRN and by specialists, expressing the hope of continued cooperation between the two sides.
