Kuwait ranks 37th in world in the Global Childhood Report

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, May 29, (Agencies): Kuwait tied with Bahrain and Belarus in ranking 37th out of 176 countries in the Global Childhood Report 2019 released by children's advocacy group Save the Children Tuesday.

The group evaluated 176 countries based on various indicators of good childhood including child survival, education, child labor and early marriage.

The advocacy group says youngsters in all but three of the 176 countries it evaluated have a better chance of growing up healthy, educated and protected from harmful practices like child labor and child marriage than at any time in the past two decades.

Save the Children said in a report released Tuesday that UN statistics show at least 280 million children are better off today.
