OPPO Reno launched in India, price starts at Rs. 39,990

As part of its Reno sub-brand, Chinese tech giant OPPO has launched the Reno and Reno 10x Zoom Edition smartphones in India today.
While both models share the same all-screen design and features, the standard model comes as a mid-range device whereas the latter offers flagship-grade internals and 10x lossless hybrid optical zoom technology.

Design and display
Both phones feature a notch-less all-screen design achieved by adopting a wedge-shaped pop-up selfie camera.
The standard Reno model sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display whereas the Reno 10x Zoom features a taller 6.6-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display.
Interestingly, both the phones also offer an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

The OPPO Reno offers a dual-lens rear camera setup with a 48MP (f/1.7) primary camera and a 5MP (f/2.4) depth sensor.
Meanwhile, the flagship Reno variant offers a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.7) primary lens, a 13MP periscope lens with dual OIS and 10x lossless zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
Up front, both phones offer a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper.

The OPPO Reno comes with a Snapdragon 710 chipset, 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage whereas the Reno 10x Zoom Edition gets a flagship Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB storage.
Under the hood, the standard model packs a 3,765mAh battery while the flagship model offers a 4,065mAh battery.
Further, both models also offer all the standard sensors and connectivity options as well.
Pricing and availability
Key details
The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition costs Rs. 39,990 for the 6GB/128GB variant and Rs. 49,990 for the 8GB/256GB model. On the other hand, the OPPO Reno is priced at Rs. 32,990 for the solo 8GB/128GB variant.
Both models are currently available for pre-booking via Amazon and will go on sale starting June 7.
