(MENAFN) A man has been handed nine years sentence in jail for the rape of his daughter, who later on committed suicide.
James Elder, aged 43, has raped Jamie-Leigh Craig, aged 19, at his house in Glasgow's Parkhead.
The girl has informed her mother of the incident, as in the following day police arrested her father for the attack, however, the teenager killed herself after three months.
Lord Matthews declared: "For a father to assault his daughter in this way is unthinkable."
