(MENAFN) Three men have died during a government operation to tackle universities student protesters in Managua, the Nicaraguan capital.
Nicaragua's official news site El 19 Digital has identified the victims as Carlos Alberto Miranda, aged 19, Kevin Joel Valle, aged 19, and Alejandro Estrada Vega, aged 53.
It accused "gang members of the right" of their killings.
Assistant police commissioner Francisco Diaz has dismissed any allegations of police presence close to the university campuses, in an interview with local radio.
