(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The chemical industry is strategically important because it influences the situation in the economy of Ukraine.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this in congratulations on the occasion of the Chemist's Day on Sunday, the Government portal reported.
"The chemical industry is an important branch of the domestic industry, which greatly influences macroeconomic indicators, and chemical enterprises are often budget-forming for a number of cities. The welfare of thousands of Ukrainian families and the situation in the national economy as a whole depend on the state of affairs in the chemical industry, the head of government said.
The prime minister noted the positive dynamics of production and the growth of competitiveness of domestic chemical products in the European and world markets.
According to Groysman, the Government is taking measures to increase the investment attractiveness of the chemical industry in Ukraine. Moreover, the strategic goal is not only to expand production capacities, but also to ensure the welfare of chemical industry workers.
The prime minister expressed his gratitude to the chemical industry workers for their difficult work, which is often associated with hazardous production conditions.
