Qatar attends Quran memorisation competition in Algeria

Doha: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs is participating in the Algeria International Quran Memorization Competition, represented by Mohammed Abdullah Bleidah.


The contestant has already passed the initial test stage and qualified for second stage of the competition, which is hosted by Algeria's Capital Algiers during the period from May 25 to 31.


A total of 50 countries are taking part in the Quranic contest. This is the 16th edition of the competition. The winner of the competition will receive a $10,000 prize money, while the runner-up will receive $8,000 and the winner of third place will get $5,000.
