Trump to meet Japanese officials as he visits Japan

(MENAFN) U.S. President Donald Trump has met Japanese business leaders in Tokyo, the first of a series of events in his four-day state visit to Japan.

Trump said he wants to make bilateral trade "a little bit more fair," referring to what he sees as a trade imbalance.

He said: "With this deal, we hope to address the trade imbalance, remove barriers to United States exports, and ensure fairness and reciprocity in our relationship."

Trump arrived in Tokyo on Saturday and is expected to hold an official meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Monday.
