Chinese output of non-ferrous metal grows in April




(MENAFN) China's production of 10 major non-ferrous metals has expanded 5.2 percent year-on-year to 18.64 million tons in the first four months of the year.

The pace of growth declined from a rise of 6.3 percent recorded in the January-March period.

The 10 major non-ferrous metals are copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, nickel, tin, antimony, mercury, magnesium and titanium.

Production of electrolytic aluminum, which makes up nearly two-thirds of the total output, climbed 4.1 percent from one year earlier to 11.48 million tons for January-April.
