(MENAFN) Singapore Economic Development Board said the country's manufacturing output increased 0.1 percent year-on-year in April, compared to a revised 4.3 percent decrease in March.
Excluding biomedical manufacturing, the output dropped 2.1 percent year-on-year in April, compared to a revised 8 percent drop in the previous month.
Meanwhile, on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, Singapore's manufacturing output went up 2.4 percent in April.
As for the performance of different clusters, the electronics cluster's output declined 0.6 percent year-on-year last month, while the biomedical manufacturing cluster's output increased 11.2 percent in the month, the precision engineering cluster's output declined 10.4 percent, the transport engineering cluster's output declined 1.1 percent, the chemicals cluster's output rose 1.9 percent, and the general manufacturing industries cluster's output declined 1.1 percent.
