Turkish authorities find body of missing AA reporter


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, May 23 (KUNA) -- Abdulkadir Nisanci, an Anadolu Agency correspondent, fell off a cliff while covering road construction works in northeastern Turkey a fortnight ago; his body was recovered on Thursday.
He was on a reporting assignment on Mount Soganli, located between northeastern Bayburt and Trabzon provinces, when a mass of snow broke loose under his feet, according to an AA report.
Search and rescue teams have been on the lookout for Nisanci since May 13; his body was at last found in a stream one kilometer away from the cliff.
Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu conveyed his condolences to Nisanci's families over his death.
Similarly, the Turkish Journalists' Association (TGC) expressed grief over the tragic accident.
It noted in a message that Journalism is one of the most difficult professions in the world. (end)
