Amman, May 22 (Petra)-Director General of the Gendarmerie Department Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh discussed on Wednesday with the UK Ambassador to Jordan, Edward Oakden, and his accompanying delegation, ways of strengthening cooperation between the Jordanian and UK gendarmerie forces.
During the meeting, Hawatmeh stressed the importance of strengthening the existing cooperation between the two sides, especially with regard to exchanging technical and training expertise and building security capabilities in the interest of the two friendly countries.
For his part, Oakden praised the gendarmerie's advanced level and its reputation at the local and international levels, expressing his country's keenness to enhance partnership between the two countries' gendarmerie forces.
