250 kg of marijuana seized in Turkey's Adana


(MENAFN) Turkish police confiscated over 250 kilograms (551 pounds) of marijuana in Turkey's southern Adana province, police stated on Wednesday.

Acting on a tip, anti-drug squad of police stopped a truck in the Seyhan district.

Police search helped with a sniffer dog in the truck disclosed the smuggled drug.

Driver Danis K., 36, was remanded into custody over alleged drug trafficking charges.
